What Is Storieshaven? A First Look at Stories You Can Live
Storieshaven begins with a simple idea: what if a story didn’t end when you closed the book? What if you could step into one, explore a world, solve a puzzle, and make a character who carries part of the adventure with you?
Storieshaven is building experiences that bring storytelling into the real world. Our first step is the Guild of Realms, a growing network of themed places where a stay can include a story to explore.
What’s a Realm?
A Realm is a place connected to a story. It might be a vacation rental with its own theme, clues, and small mysteries woven into the guest experience.
Storieshaven is partnering with Discover the Magic as its beta Realm. This first partnership gives us a place to begin learning how story elements can fit into a real stay.
What’s a Story Kit?
A Story Kit is a set of story materials and activities guests can use during their stay. Our first kit is a simple, escape room–style experience built around clues and a puzzle.
It’s an early version of the idea, and that’s part of the adventure. We’re testing how guests interact with the story and learning what makes the experience enjoyable, clear, and memorable. The kit doesn’t yet offer branching story outcomes; for now, it gives guests a puzzle to solve together.
Your Character Can Continue Beyond One Stay
Each person can create a persistent character through the Storieshaven member portal. That character can earn Experience and build a Karma Balance, which carry forward with the character.
At this stage, those elements track a guest’s progress. Choices don’t yet change the story or create different endings. That kind of branching experience is part of the larger vision, but we want to be clear about what Storieshaven offers today.
A First Realm, and a Larger Vision
The beta Realm is the beginning. Over time, Storieshaven aims to connect more places and stories through a shared universe. The long-term vision includes interactive books, an app, and eventually a real-world destination where visitors can explore stories in person.
Those plans will take time to build. For now, we’re starting with one Realm, one Story Kit, and the people willing to help us discover what this idea can become.
